Rosie Simoes and Licensed German Sport Horse Stallion “Rankrado”

One of the best parts of profiling Junior/Young Riders is seeing them grow into thriving Dressage careers!  Rosie Simoes was a previous Rider of the Month with Dressageforjuniors!  Here is a little bit about Rosie and Rankrado, a Licensed German Sport Horse Stallion.

Rankrado is a recently imported 2004 Licensed German Sport Horse Stallion (Ranko/Erato). He will be her mount for the Under 25 Grand Prix division and was recently purchased by the Rankrado LLC from Dressage LaReve in Holland with the help of Jan Brouwer.

Rosie is a USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist and has won multiple regional championships,  along with other placings and year-end awards through USDF and local organization, IDCTA. Rosie has competed at the North American Junior/Young Rider Championships 3 times total, as a junior and a young rider. At her last NAJYRC in 2014, she finished 7th individually and 5th in the freestyle.

Rosie Simoes is based in Barrington, Illinois at Flying Dutchman Farm. Working along side her mother and trainer, Julie Julian, Rosie focuses on training horses and riders to accomplish their goals at all levels.

Rosie loves participating in educational programs and clinics. This year she was 1 of 4 up-and-coming professionals chosen for the Hannoveraner Verband’s Rider Exchange Program, where she spent two months as an assistant rider preparing young horses for the Verden Auction in Germany. In 2015 she was 1 of 4 riders chosen to participate in the Dressage Foundation’s International Dream Program, giving her the opportunity to travel to Aachen, Germany to observe the European Championships and speak with the top riders, trainers and judges of the sport.
